Top Ten Tuesday! Ten Favorite Historical Reads

This weeks topic is historical or futuristic settings. I really could not come up with much for that. SO, I choose to do Ten Favorite Historical Reads which I will break down into Five Non-Fiction Reads and Five Fiction Reads.

I love history. I find it to be so much fun to learn about things I didn't live through. I love to get different perspectives on the times. If I find a subject interesting, nothing gets me more excited then using that setting to write a wonderful piece of fiction. When I am reading I always mix it up by reading a true story at the same time as a fiction tale. I find it easier to keep the stories straight if I mix it up a little.
