Rabbits in the Garden-by Jessica McHugh

Product Details

WOW! I'm still thinking about this one, hours after finishing it. If you love an original, quirky, horror, suspense novel, you should try this one out. Yes, this book is farfetched, but let yourself get lost in the story. It's okay, you know you want to! I am a huge fan of a unique story. Doesn't everyone get tired of reading the same story over and over written by a new author?! Yes, this story has similarities to several reads, Mommie Dearest, Girl Interrupted, Vicious Little Darlings, and Psycho. Seriously, if you haven't read those, you simply must! The similarities are very small and do not distract from the storyline at all. There is so much crazy here, that you never know what will be coming on the next page. It's a good kind of crazy, the kind you won't soon forget. The mother may give me nightmares. She is evil incarnated. McHugh does an excellent job of taking you on a roller coaster ride, that you begin to wonder if you will ever get off of. The story starts as a slow burn that turns into a roaring fire. If you want to try something new and different, I would highly recommend Rabbits in the Garden!

Anyone have recommendations for other quirky, unique stories?
